Are you too sexy for your job?
A woman has been fired for being too sexy on the job! Alright, I know it is still a man's world, but this is something of a first for me.
Debrahlee Lorenzana used to work as a banker for Citibank in New York. Apparently, her male co-workers couldn't handle the way she dressed and so was fired.
Lorenzana claims that her wardrobe is mostly from Zara, a known clothing line worldwide for its affordable, runway-inspired looks. If what she says is true of her wardrobe, then she dresses like many of us. So what's the problem?
On the other hand, Citibank is claiming that Lorenzana was fired based mostly on bad job performance. Lorenza is however suing Citibank and is seeking future earnings, back pay and damages for mental and emotional distress.
