The internet is a great resource for finding specialty products that are not sold in mainstream stores. This is the case for gay and lesbian jewelry, which may be hard to find in your local shopping mall. But online, there are numerous websites specializing in accessories that allow gay and lesbian people to express their pride. One of these sites is called PrideID jewelry.

This is the website for a company in Ferndale, Michigan called Uniquely Different Jewelry Creations. They have been in business since 1994 when the founders took a $400 tax return check turned it into a successful business that specializes in selling hand crafted designer jewelry for the gay and lesbian community. They are constantly creating new designs, and feature a wide selection of body jewelry, sterling silver and stainless steel jewelry, and pride-themed shopping that includes pins, accessories and some clothing items as well.

TV star Kelly Osbourne is the new face of Madonna's fashion line called Material Girl. Kelly has revealed that she is also friends with Madonna's daughter Lourdes, and that the two talk and text frequently. She said that 14 year old Lourdes has provided much of the inspiration behind the Material Girl clothing line, and she thinks that Lourdes will have a big impact on the fashion world in the years to come.

The decision for Kelly to be the face of the brand was also Lourdes choice. Kelly compared the relationship between Madonna and Lourdes to her own relationship with her mom Sharon, saying that both mothers are very caring toward their daughters. She said that Madonna is a great mother, and that instead of dominating the discussions about the clothing line she lets Lourdes take over.

Spring – Summer Trends

At New York Fashion Week, designers have presented their collections for the spring – summer season – an explosion of color, fabrics and patterns. Zac Posen recommends short, flowing dresses, animal print fabrics, trenches with large buttons, solar colors and daring items.

In contrast, Jill Stuart suggests graphic chromatics, the lucky colors being black, white and caramel. Creations are minimalist, impeccably cut. The mini satin dresses, painted with dynamic prints were appreciated by critics. Jill bets this season on transparency, degrades, and ribbon details. The nude creations, joined by black velvet ribbons have emphasized feminism in its genuine state.

If we were to choose an association of defining terms for the collection presented by Max Azria, we would probably choose 'luxurious simplicity'. We are talking about mini dresses, the 'lover's T-shirt' type. Made of precious fabrics, silk, Azria creations breathe good taste, style and elegance. The colors go from nude to peach. Details are most effective: crystals and pearls, pagoda shoulders and butterfly sleeves.
